Singapore Has The Oldest Population In SEA
Look at the startling statistics below. Singapore has the oldest population in SEA by a long way! Thanks to the PAP and ineffectual Ministers such as Josephine Teo and Indranee Rajah, our TFR has sunk to a miserable 0.97 ( A TFR of 2.1 is necessary to even replace the population).
Our Young people are not reproducing because of the absurd costs of living, astronomical public housing cost and low wages coupled with job anxiety.
The PAP only has a band-aid policy of increasing immigration, which has caused immense harm to the fabric of our society and our Singapore identity. It is no wonder that many of our Young are thinking of migrating.
Forty years ago, Lee Kuan Yew spoke of the dangers of the brain drain. It is sad that his successors pay no heed to that warning and think that importing immigrants is the solution to the problem. It is such a short-sighted policy which if not stopped, will destroy our society down the road.
One of the most important tasks of a new non-PAP government is to reverse our dismal TFR by helping young families to start families, giving priority to Singaporeans for jobs, reigning in the rentier capitalists who make a fortune through unproductive rentier income and making our immigration policies work for Singaporeans by strictly controlling the immigration numbers.
We Must Regain Our Country,Our Dignity,Our Future!
Lim Tean
Mr Lim is right.
23 Apr, 2024 Migrant outflow triggers salary boom for Russians – experts
Employers have still reported significant personnel shortages despite inflated wages..
For years, oppressed Sinkies have pointed out that the huge inflow of migrants depress wages.

According to the chart provided, Timon Leste has the youngest population in SEA!
Does that mean Timor-Leste parents have no problem in bearing their offspring and also provide adequate upkeep for all their offspring?
Sinkie parents want their children to be engineers, doctors, scientists, lawyers, managers….. they thus limit the number of children they have and provide them with everything they need to grow up to become relevant to the society.

“Echoing similar sentiments, another comment expressed disinterest in DPM Wong’s guitar skills, emphasizing the need for solutions to reduce the cost of living and the soaring prices of HDB flats.”
If mainstream media keep focusing on his personal hobby ie guitar playing rather than seeking out his thoughts on premiership & “to pose tougher questions to him regarding policies and solutions for pressing issues faced by Singaporeans, such as the cost of living, job insecurities, rising HDB resale prices, and economic downturn,” & TFR issue then I am afraid that 1505 BAD omen may come upon SG!

It is strange that so many foreign couples want to come to SG to end their lineage. Even if their lineage don’t end in their generations, it will in another 1 or 2 generations.
Sinkies are selfish, self-centered and greedy. The fate of those who are selfish, greedy and foolish is sealed i.e. to become extinct.

I disagree with Lim Tean. We already have too many people in Singapore. An Ageing population combined with technology may not need replacement. Global warming also indicates that it may not suit population increase in this period of time. If you look at what you have and decide to use it to the best capability and capacity. You don’t need a population increase. The elderly have brain power which we should use. The PAP’s policy on retirement has cast away a segment of society that should have been used instead of bringing in foreigners to replace our elderly as though they have no knowledge or commercial value. After working for decades, their experience and job knowledge will be superior to most in the workforce. It is the PAP govt. that failed to tap this resource into the workforce and made the elderly redundant. The Opposition is foolish to use TFR as a political tool to attack the PAP. The thought process should be to lessen consumption by reducing population growth not increasing it.

The TFR issue is one that will directly determine the nation’s survival. Just because the argument came from an opposition should not allow us to dismiss the gravity of the issue. With the low rates and lack of drastic measures, it will take a miracle for SG to survive another 12 years with favourable living conditions for locals. In case some idiots are still harping at their idiot leader’s 50-100 year 100 billion plan for rising sea levels.
Increasing foreign immigration or conversion rates to locals will not solve the underlying problems because these people are only here for economic reasons. Dream on if you think their ties with their original countries are all severed. The ruling regime kept harping on the fact that many foreigners including PRs are here for jobs that locals don’t want. They, led by GCT lied through their teeth. Day in day out keep talking about construction workers and road builders.
There are so many of them here who come for jobs that locals will definitely want. If the ruling regime aren’t returned to power, all the skeletons will fall out of the closets.
Indrajah cannot make it. The kind of analysis she did should have been done decades back. Now it’s time to look deep and take drastic measures but as we all know, this regime will wayang all the way. Always going after glowing reports on good indicators and sweeping TFR aside. That’s why they have to be removed and the new good leaders will dictate the next history chapter.

That infamous saga arising from the exclusive Ridout Rd colonial houses could be easily capitalized by demolishing them and converting the entire area into a PLUS Housing estate like that of Mt Pleasant.
As such, this black-and-white controversy will be totally erased and forgotten forever.
Similarly, other colonial buildings that occupy land areas enough to build a public housing estate should be demolished to create better living space, interweaved with productive infrastructure like vertical farming.
MND should intensify such progressive developments for the benefit of our dire land-constrained Singapore. Expanding it’s shore lines is very costly.

Well, well! It’s nice to hear that the incoming PM sounds like LaoRen Wang (King of the Elderly).
It’s just the right time for him to look into the well-being of Singaporean elderly and the disabled with all his might. Our fast declining TFR means Singapore will be morphed into a compact cosmopolitan with all the ensuing problems that come with it.
There are already far too many Single-poreans by choice and sexual preference due to runaway COL, job insecurity and family anxiety.
Looks like the TFR is totally irreversible, leading the rampant weakening of ionic bonding of families.
