Rare typhoon-like storm hits Singapore

Strong winds that people called a mini typhoon hit Singapore on Tuesday evening, September 17, toppling trees, snarling traffic and causing damage to a glass canopy outside UOB Plaza.

Almost the whole of Singapore received the storm's heaviest rainfall as it moved across the island.

The Sumatra Squall is a line of thunderstorms that develops over Sumatra, Indonesia, and moves over the Straits of Malacca, leading to heavy rain and strong winds in Singapore and Malaysia.

How can! Singapore has lost Heaven’s mandate to be free from natural disasters. LW better lead a few all-religion prayers.

    So,trees fell.
Expect more of such fallen trees near future.
    Go check it out.
So many trees planted in between much older trees last few years,a lot of digging and haphazard “planting”.
