The pomposity of PM Lee Hsien Loong’s career achievements

In history there were Nazi Germany Adophl Hitler and Indonesia Achmed Surkarno who crew to the world of their political dominance and achievements while their people suffered in their livelihood.

In Singapore Lee Kuan Yew and his superlative politicians including Dr. Goh Keng Swee made world history by transforming Singapore from third world to first world status. His successor woody Goh Chok Tong showed outstanding talent in enhancing the prosperity and harmony of Singapore. Then came sonny boy Lee Hsien Loong who showed great promise coming fresh into his authority of prime minister. His was an unencumbered tenure because it was plain sailing with the communists out of action. He did not experience the baptism of fire that his father went through.

Anybody with any sense of ingenuity will be able to achieve what Lee Hsien Loong had daunted his guillible audience with his achievements in his farewell speech on Mayday lst May. It shows his lack of modesty and humility in portraying himself as some kind of titan in bringing Singapore to its present prosperity and racial harmony. That he should be credited for his part in accomplshing this cannot be overlooked.but to sit o their fat asses and enjoy the luxuries of life at people's expense after our sacrifices in fighting the communists is character at the bottom of the human pit.

What made him to hand over his baton ahead of his scheduled date is a mystery but will his successor Lawrence Wong be up to the scratch in taking over. He strikes me as a flamboyant and ostentatious figure with an avid guitar player background. Singapore needs more than a guitar player to take it our of a crisis when it faces one. But Lee Hsien Loong is head over heels as to his competence. Let's wait and see when he takes over and performs if it's not too late.

  • Flushing Toilets:

Someone thanked LKY for new toilets (flushing system) over the night soil buckets.

Someone also thanked LKY for color TVs.

It’s easy for simple minded people to thank their politicians.

This seems to augur well; no more the “Singapore has talents only for a one-party state”, even imagining the present possibility of a “coalition government”.

    Yeah,he was pompou$ and “generou$”!
He was acting like he was UN bo$$.
Instead of a united nation(Sg),he seemed to carry out his duties as if for THE UN(United NationS)?
Even took jobs from sgs and handed them to other nationals.
And,even made very sure FTs got much more grant$ from the $100B “Solidarity-Resilience” covid budget.
    I am telling the truth.
You see me and many former PMETs received only $600!
The PM honestly thought that sgs like me only deserved $600 for helping to accumulate the vast past Sgs’ national reserves.

    Well,beggars cannot be choosers.
The FTs were laughing their way to the bank!
Even those FT-TRANSFEREES WHO CAME TO SG just before the $100 WAS TAKEN OUT.
MOM TAN SEE LENG SAID THERE WERE “ONLY A FEW OF THEM”.
So,NO NEED TO PERFORM DUE DILIGENCE AND ENSURE EQUITY???

    I say BS !
HOPE LW ENSURE THAT FUTURE WITHDRAWALS MUST BE GRANTED OUT MOEE EQYITABLY TO DESERVING SGS.
    AFTERALL,THESE ARE SGS’ RESERVES,NO LESS.
THIS MISTAKE ID HUGE AND MUST BE DISCOURSED IN PARLIAMENT FOR FUTURE EVENTS.
THERE MUST BE INTEGRIRY IN EXCERCISING SOCIAL COSTS AND SOCIAL BENEFITS ADMINSTRATION.

Just my humble 2 cents as a bona fide loyal SINGAPOREAN.

Of course there will be written plenty of nice stories about him, what do you expect the newspaper to do, write the truth like social media har? You wait long long hor, the newspaper controlled by PAP in case you have forgotten.

“What made him to hand over his baton ahead of his scheduled date is a mystery”

He did say hand over BY November, not hand over IN November. So no surprise he handed over before November and wished Wong good luck buddy, you are going to need it with the projected vote share going below 60% in the next election. It’s obvious without the newspaper not daring to say it but his succession was bungled up. He wasn’t satisfied with stroke man not so Heng getting a borderline vote share in East Coast so he decided that Heng cannot be the successor, how stupid of him. So with the clock ticking and time running out fast he decided on guitar stringer instead. Ok man, no problem at all.

Another excuse he could be using in time to come, say maybe 2 years from now the newspaper reports that he has some chronic illness like perhaps early Alzheimers or something. Great excuse to use to hand over quickly right, don’t you think? I see him on tv talking and he doesn’t look healthy, his face is like all shrunken like a skeleton of sorts. I’m pretty sure he has some illness but since I’m no doctor I definitely can’t tell what it might be.

Whatever it is I do not see guitar Wong’s current cabinet lasting too long. For sure some of the monkeys will be voted out and in comes worse than useless Ng Chee Meng promoted right away to a nice minister post. Let’s all give guitar Wong a borderline vote share with at least 3 GRCs lost in his frst election as boss shall we fellow voters?

  • 老人王 (King of the Elderly):

As it sounds like Lao Ren Wang, so does the need to help Singaporean elderly survive their remnant livelihood, squashing away suicidal thoughts. And there’s much more to it.

As the number of Single’poreans rises exponentially, the TFR plummets like a meteorite. And that’s not only that.

As the country moves forward amid the world’s incessant turmoils, we still need to
prioritize Singaporeans’ wellbeing and mental health. And hey! No stone left unturned. Heard this too often lah..

If you believe every praise & adoration throw at lhl these days, one would think that ‘what a perfect man’ we have as PM.

The way he goes all out & relentless attack on his own family members.
This is most likely the true person he is.

Anyway, he is not going anywhere.
    Power & authority is addictive.

Maybe he & someone is hoping & waiting for LW to fall on his face soon.

And also anyway, lhl & those millionaire ministers are well paid for doing the jobs, nobody owes them anything else.

They probably feel some shame when his followers keep hurling louds & praise at them

No need. They’re already over paid for their jobs.

  • OMEN 1505:

Noted author and editor-in-chief of digital magazine Jom, Sudhir Thomas Vadaketh, has opined that former Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has bequeathed a “more unequal and divided” Singapore to his successor, Lawrence Wong, in an opinion-editorial published last Friday (17 May).

Mr Vadaketh’s lengthy essay offered an alternative view to the scorecards mainstream media has published on Singapore’s progress and prosperity in the two decades under Mr Lee’s leadership.
