However, a deeper look reveals that this push is nothing more than a self-serving political maneuver by the government—one that prioritizes short-term electoral gains over the long-term resilience of the nation.
A truly strong and deep-rooted nation does not rely on artificially boosting its numbers through mass immigration. Instead, it regenerates from within, nurturing its people, strengthening family units, and fostering an environment where its own citizens feel secure enough to build their futures. A government that genuinely cares about the country’s longevity would be focused on policies that support its existing population—ensuring fair wages, improving work-life balance, and making housing and child-rearing more affordable.
Yet, rather than addressing these fundamental issues, the ruling elite takes the easy way out. By importing new citizens en masse, they manipulate demographic shifts to consolidate power, dilute opposition, and create a voter base that is more dependent on the state. This tactic not only disenfranchises the existing population but also weakens national identity and social cohesion.
A nation’s strength is measured by the confidence of its people in their future, not by how many people it can import to prop up a flawed system. If a government truly believed in its own citizens, it would focus on creating conditions where natural population growth and retention become the norm. Instead, what we see today is a leadership that, rather than fixing the root causes of population decline, chooses to mask them with a short-term fix that serves their own political interests.
