Someone asked me - Mr. Tan, I see the trend towards populism in many countries. I am afraid that this trend will be bad for the economy and for the social cohesion. I gave him this reply. The liberisation of the Singapore Open Electricity Retail Market (OERM) only came into being fully in November 2018 and extended to all consumers by zones and until today when I have posted my comments, 5 out of those 22 electricity retailers have quitted.
