NDP to continue as planned with MINDEF reviewing scale of parade and safety measures- page A9, ST, 21 July 21. Our National Day (ND) is under 3 weeks away but this year's ND is much different from past NDs. This year's ND comes at a time when we as a country is literally fighting a war against an invisible but no less dangerous... 

This is honestly shocking. First he said 4G ready, MSM full throttle on the 4G team beaming all kind of skills and knowledge ready to take over. Then pandemic came along, suddenly Pinky said 4G not ready, Ah Heng the potential PM cum Planner even got moved from Tampines and East Coast. Out of blue, he even declared himself too... 

I have to confess that I had high hopes during national service. I had a strange fantasy of being an officer and then, somehow proving myself in a combat situation and climbing the ranks. I guess part of it was from growing up in the UK, where it was expected of any young man with A-levels entering as an officer if he chose...
