PM Lee I refer to the 30 May 2014 Straits Times letter “Singaporeans responsible for building better future” by Ms Faith Connie Tham. Ms Tham is sad that Singaporeans feel the government is not doing a good job and encourages those who are not happy to travel abroad to experience high inflation, rampant crime and dirty streets...

I refer to the 3 Jun 2014 Straits Times letter “Expectations need to be realistic” by Mr Benjamin Chow Kok Fai. Mr Chow laments the political challenge of satisfying rising citizen expectations. No Mr Chow, expectations have not risen, standards have fallen instead. Did we ever have such massive, frequent MRT breakdowns?...

MP and new citizen, Dr Janil Puthucheary I refer to the 28 May 2014 Straits Times report “Clash over MediShield premiums v payouts”. Dr Janil Puthucheary made complete nonsense when he asserted that it is not valid to compare Medishield’s 63% loss ratio (payout) against American health insurance’s 80 to 85% loss ratio...
