I welcome the decision by Dance Spectrum International (DSI) to withdraw from participating in Chingay 2021. Their original planned performance of incorporating tap dance into lion dance, if proceeded, is not only inappropriate, being disrespectful to a centuries old tradition, it must also insult the emotional pride of many... 

The Workers Party (WP) is miles ahead of all other opposition parties when it comes to leadership renewal. No other party has been able to do this. Some can't even find leaders who will stay long enough. Some leaders lasts only barely a year. I put this down to the seriousness with which the WP sees its role in not only opposition... 

I express my opinions as a private citizen, a Singaporean. 13 Mediacorp artistes were seen in a picture standing very closely to one other and nobody wore any mask. It is a clear infringement of our mandatory CB mask wearing requirement. They are all adults, all educated, all public figures and all of them have respectable followings...
