Jamus is probably right that flights-to-nowhere will appeal only or mostly to the better off - ie, the richer, more well-to-do people who can afford such a luxury during a pandemic. So, I don't see why a tax, even during a pandemic, is not viable. Would it discourage such well-to-do folk from such flights? Would they not take... 

The reason why I have said this defamation suit has done more damage on LHL than the defamatory article itself is that nobody would really believe whatever nonsense written by Alex Tan. However, the decision of LHL suing LSH who merely share the article without making any defamatory comments instead of suing the original author... 

I ask if the pap government is so desperate or so heartless or so mad or all of the mentioned now? We are now in the midst of the worse recession since our independence and we expect our economy to contract substantially this year, expect our unemployment numbers to climb further going forward and many people are experiencing...
