TR EMERITUS

Twenty-six years ago today, Lim Chin Siong died of a heart attack. He would have been 89 years old this year. Lim Chin Siong was the best-known trade unionist and people person in Singapore’s history. He was only 22 when elected as legislative assemblyman for Bukit Timah in 1955. Lee Kuan Yew too was elected in that election...
