TR EMERITUS

I give a National Education of Singapore to my daughter as National Day approaches. And it started with our Singapore Flag and the history of Singapore’s Independence. The standard explanation of what our Flag stands for. The Flag of Singapore consists of two horizontal halves, red above white. Red symbolises universal brotherhood... 

Back in 1986/87, I remembered I attended the first night NDP at the Stadium. Basically it was the first time, NDP was held at night, not many people in the school wanted to go, so a number of students were arrowed by teachers to attend. We were also asked to take part in the filming of the song to be sung by Clement Lee. Also... 

Today is National Day. There have been many changes in Singapore over the years, and quite a number are not conducive to the growth of Singapore. Now, a ray of hope exists in Mr Tan Cheng Bock forming an opposition coalition to lead Singapore into a better era. Whether this will materialise remain to be seen. Do not be mistaken....
