政府津贴得愈多 新加坡人愈陷困境

10月17日,早报刊登了一篇新闻,标题显耀刺眼,就是《提供大量津贴助国人拥屋 建屋局净赤字飙升达近八亿》。 新加坡人的尴尬,也是新加坡人最大的心痛,就是政府津贴得愈多、愈大的项目,得到的不是减轻负担,较为轻松的感觉,而是陷入百上加斤,更为艰难、困顿的处境。 在医药费上的津贴来说是如此、在组屋售价的津贴上来说也是如此。有谁能够想象呢?当一个国家政府对人民医药费津贴达至70、80%时,人民竟然还把到医院治病当成畏途;当建屋局为新加坡人提供住屋,推出大量津贴组屋,每年的赤字都以数亿计来帮助新加坡人圆梦时,得到的却不是新加坡人的鲜花,而是魔鬼式的诅咒...

Gilbert Goh re-posted a reply on his Facebook wall by TAFEP to a Singaporean whistle-blower who claimed she lost her job in the banking industry after being replaced by a foreigner [Read story here]. The reply from TAFEP, I’m sad to say, comes across as a flaccid attempt at trying to seek some sort of redress for the unfortunate...
