10月17日，早报刊登了一篇新闻，标题显耀刺眼，就是《提供大量津贴助国人拥屋 建屋局净赤字飙升达近八亿》。 新加坡人的尴尬，也是新加坡人最大的心痛，就是政府津贴得愈多、愈大的项目，得到的不是减轻负担，较为轻松的感觉，而是陷入百上加斤，更为艰难、困顿的处境。 在医药费上的津贴来说是如此、在组屋售价的津贴上来说也是如此。有谁能够想象呢？当一个国家政府对人民医药费津贴达至70、80%时，人民竟然还把到医院治病当成畏途；当建屋局为新加坡人提供住屋，推出大量津贴组屋，每年的赤字都以数亿计来帮助新加坡人圆梦时，得到的却不是新加坡人的鲜花，而是魔鬼式的诅咒... 

Gilbert Goh re-posted a reply on his Facebook wall by TAFEP to a Singaporean whistle-blower who claimed she lost her job in the banking industry after being replaced by a foreigner [Read story here]. The reply from TAFEP, I’m sad to say, comes across as a flaccid attempt at trying to seek some sort of redress for the unfortunate... 

Over the years, there have been continuous complaints and crouches about the policies of the ruling party. There were opposition to the level of FTs; the public transport system; affordability of housing; CPF etc. All these issues are not the result of bad or poor policy making.
