Before 2010, GIC had disclosed annual returns in Singapore dollar. (GIC reports, see pg 10). There was no reason to change the reporting currency because all returns would eventually have to be converted to S$. And Singaporeans have the right to know GIC’s actual performance. Was having coffee with a friend who is about to be questioned by the police. He said he will exercise his right of silence until he sees his lawyer and obtains legal advice. His jaw dropped to the floor when I told him that the right of silence was abolished by the government in 1976. I added that if he doesn't answer the questions...

It states that “DBS played a crucial role in Singapore’s early industrialisation, taking risks and absorbing downsides to benefit the country but not necessarily the bank itself DBS provided...
