I refer to the article 'Singapore will not cut fuel duties or provide road tax rebates: Lawrence Wong' (CNA, 4 Apr). The Finance Minister Lawrence Wong was quoted as saying: "Fewer than four in 10 households in Singapore own cars, and amongst the lowest quintile, only about one in 10 do... Such subsidies on private transport... 

Don’t you find is highly ironic? This morning, when I was surfing Facebook, I came across yet another video by PAP IBs which used an interview LKY gave to talk about leadership principles. Coincidentally, yesterday’s mainstream media just had an article about how leadership succession is on the cards again now that the country... 

Say what you like about the slap that Will Smith gave to Chris Rock but it was a very necessary respite from news about the war in Ukraine and the Covid-19 pandemic. Instead of talking about people dying from horrible things, they started talking about celebrities behaving like school children. The moment that gave us a break...
