Twenty-six years ago today, Lim Chin Siong died of a heart attack. He would have been 89 years old this year. Lim Chin Siong was the best-known trade unionist and people person in Singapore’s history. He was only 22 when elected as legislative assemblyman for Bukit Timah in 1955.
