Lawrence Wong cried, talking about frontline healthcare workers. Khaw Boon Wan cried, recalling tribute from Ong Ye Kung, on his retirement... 

So, people who vote for check and balance are “free riders”. But life is a constant struggle between opposing forces. Let one side have too much power, you can be pretty sure it will abuse the other. Let the PAP have a supermajority and it will use that power to entrench it’s position. Think PA, GRC, RC, CCC, Town Councils,...
