从政治传播看新加坡大选

新加坡大选已经过一星期,执政党人民行动党大胜出乎许多政治评论员的意料之外,尤其观察许多选民出席反对党群眾大会,感受到反对党选前的声势庞大,因而选举成绩让人意外,选举结果与选前氛围反差甚大。 作为大马边城新山的公民,笔者有幸到新加坡感染新加坡大选氛围,本身也有一些新加坡土生土长的朋友,以及选择成为新移民的马来西亚中学同学(他们多就读新加坡大学,之后在新就业定居,成为公民)。 基本上,有新加坡本土的朋友在面书上明确表达不会再投票给执政党,理由是希望下一代生长在一个重视人文更甚于GDP的国家;有者指出人民都是纳税...

GE 2015: Could there have been any other result?

I wrote in this blog a couple of weeks prior to the last GE that come day-after-polling, the PAP will declare victory and, thereafter, it will be one-party-rule-as-usual. I also pointed out, which I have done countless of times before, that the electoral process in Singapore facilitates one and only one outcome: PAP victory....
