Should Singapore agree to the request by the US Navy to be their base? Will China sees this as a threat? How can the government respond to this request? Here are my views. a) Singapore already has an agreement to provide naval facilities to the US Navy. This new request can be an extension of the current arrangement. b) I suppose... 

RCEP is a Free Trade Agreement (FTA). However, it has very little to do with increasing trade, but rather to guarantee the rights of MNCs when they invest in a foreign country. Whenever our government talk about FTAs, it likes to point out that tariffs of goods will be slashed and therefore will be cheaper and trade will increase....
