(read below)   Dr Yik points to the unequal scaling of the economic peak by countries in the region to suggest that work ethic is not the same across countries.  By extension, places that have scaled the same peak must necesssarily share the same work...

I refer to the letter by Mr Ng Kwong Yee dated 8 Feb 2010. (see below) Mr Ng chides couples for expecting their first home to be first rate.  What should couples expect then?  That their homes should be third rate?  What will that make of Singapore?  Third rate? Mr Ng also claims that couples are unwilling to live in new,...

Democracy is not an answer to everything

I refer to recent reports on US Ambassador-Designate to Singapore Mr Daniel Adelman's "promise" to use "public diplomacy" to promote multi-party politics in Singapore. We don't need the west to impose their values on us. Their idea of democracy is worthless. They export democracy to create chaos and stifle/impede developments...
