I write this on behalf of all Indians in Singapore. Thaipusam is a festival close to all our hearts, as you would rightfully agree. A law was passed in 1973 regarding playing loud musical instruments in public places. But we still have Chinese lion dance troupe (or a Chingay festival). Or even door - to door visitations of lions...

I find it amusing and even more entertaining by the day, since K. Shanmugam became our Law and Home Affairs Minister in a Cabinet reshuffle before the last election. He has repeatedly “defended” and sought to “protect” the integrity of the Judiciary when no one in the public has ever called our Justices into disrepute!...

In April of last year, the Singaporean government announced their intent to address the problem of fake news in a more effective manner. K Shanmugam, Law and Home Affairs Minister, said that this would be further elaborated when a review of the issue is completed. Now the intruging question is . Is fake news and fake information...
