All the talk of who among the third generation would assume PM-ship is PAP arrogance. It takes for granted the voters' support, so that PAP can calmly proceed to choose for voters who the next PM will be. Worse, it implies they will succeed, via "fixing the opposition", such that they will, by hook or crook, win future GEs....
