I refer to page A7 of today's Straits Times, the story about the dismissal of the commander of the United States 7th Fleet, Vice-Admiral Joseph Aucoin due to "loss of confidence" in his ability to command, following a series of accidents at sea this year, two of which killed sailors. Now, look at the so called self-proclaimed... 

I refer to the article “As it happens: National Day Rally 2017” (Channel NewsAsia, Aug 20). It states that “Speaking in Malay, PM Lee said he’s glad that more Malay children are now attending pre-school. The Government is raising the quality of pre-schools and keeping them affordable, he said, adding that it is creating... 

It was interesting that our PM, in his National Day Rally speech, decided to highlight 70-year-old Teo Yoke Lan, who delivers meals on an e-bike for UberEats around the Central Business District area. PM Lee said she did this to keep herself fit and able to make a living at the same time. Her efforts are definitely to be praised,...
