On his Facebook, Dr Chee Soon Juan reminds us that, according to a report, some years ago a certain senior PAP minister told a visiting American newspaper executive that there is only one law – i.e. the PAP must win and all other laws be adjusted to make sure that that will happen. No one in this country would doubt the authenticity...

I refer to this article published by The New Paper titled, "Helping the Poor to become 'Towkays'" [ LINK ] Gist of it: government giving out free tissue paper and $88 ezlink card to poor and needy, allowing them to sell the tissue paper and become 'financially independent'. I'm not usually this quick to criticize government...
