TR EMERITUS

The ongoing saga surrounding Sembcorp and Keppel underscores the reasons why Government should stay out of business. Only recently, Temasek sold NOL at a huge loss (that’s our money down the tube, folks). Now Temasek is staring down the probability of absorbing the losses of Sembcorp Marine and the sales of Keppel’s stakes... 

The only way I see the government being able to solve our economic woes is to keep the density of the population lower so as to reduced the pressure on our land resource which is the major cause of the high cost of living and not matched by the rise in our wages, except for the PAP Civil Servant elites who can pay themselves... 

It’s the beginning of the end for opposition politics in Singapore. It is quite incredible as to how a certain PAP Minister can say that the ultimate litmus test of a successful government is how the masses have benefitted from their policies. We have locals who have to bankrupt themselves by going overseas for a degree...
