Dear Straits Times, I refer to the 14 Apr 2011 article by Mr Daniel Yew. Mr Yew points to the near shutdown of US government services as an example of checks and balances checkmating the government itself. But the example is not quite valid because at the end of the day, US politicians avoided government services shutdown and... 

Since the Nominated MP (NMP) is a highly touted idea of the PAP, we should let the PAP "eat their own cooking".  We should let the NMPs seats be filled by PAP members.  That means voting in the opposition in as MPs. That way, we will have more opposition MPs and the PAP will still have its desired full representation in Parliament... 

One clean sweep victory by the opposition.the ideal we should strive for. The miw now may gave some tricks up its sleeves in the coming watershed elections. Don't be fooled. They have fooled us for the past few decades already. It should be an absolute watershed. Go to the ballot box and cast your vote wisely for u and I know...
