Can people refuse to vote because they do not wish to be exposed to the virus?

A thought just occurred to me...during GE, a large number of civil servants, especially teachers will be mobilised for polling duties. Can they refuse to work because they want to avoid unnecessary exposure to Covid-19? Can they demand to be provided with masks because there will be some nature of work that may need closer proximity...

Ong Ye Kung It is absolutely shocking to learn that of the new 73 coronavirus cases today, 18 are linked to a cluster at PCF Sparkletots at Fengshan Blk 126. I stand to be corrected, but I believe this was the same pre-school where a teacher was confirmed to have been infected on 23 March. Initially, they wanted to resume classes...
