According to a Press release by the LTA, the Park and Ride scheme will cease in approximately 6 weeks time on 1 Dec. The scheme was first introduced some 40 years back in 1975 to encourage car owners to switch to bus services to enter the CBD so as to reduce congestion. Later in 1993, this was expanded to include MRT stations....
