Inflation hits 2.7% in May, higher than CPF 2.5% interest

In a statement released today [Link], MAS said that the CPI-All Items inflation rate rose to 2.7% (year-on-year) in May last month. In April, it was 2.5%. MAS said the increase is due to "base effects associated with the fluctuations in COE premiums". The 2.7% inflation rate in May is more than the current 2.5% interest rate...
