This is not a game of cardsThis is not a game of cards I can appreciate parties wanting to hold their cards close to their chest, but the smoke and mirrors games on nominations day, the shuffling of the DPM from a seat he had openly been declared to be defending, and other ministers shuffling constituencies leaves one feeling the PAP thinks it is playing a game of cards.

Cwc-Ai

NSmen scoffed at $9,000 award to “recognize” their contributions

NSmen scoffed at $9,000 award to “recognize” their contributions

Contrary to what was reported in the mainstream media, most NSmen are unhappy with the $9,000 award to be given to each of them by MINDEF to recognize their contributions to the nation. The new National Service Recognition Award was announced by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong during his National Day Rally speech following rising disgruntlement among Singaporeans that they are unnecessarily burdened by their NS obgliations while the foreigners enjoy the fruits of their labor. The amount will be deposited in the post-secondary education funds and CPFs of the NSmen in three separate tranches. Many NSmen felt that $9,000 is hardly enough to compensate for the sacrifices they have made for the nation with some regarding it as an affront to their dignity. Others said they will gladly accept the award, but will still vote against the PAP regime to protest its policies in the coming election. Ang K Y is obviously offended by the award: "I feel insulted because the money cannot be use or touch. It is tied into my CPF which is as good as nothing. It is like I promise to give you a sum of money for a job well done but I put it inside an bank account which you draw out the money after you retire or after you die, do you think this 'money' is any good to you? 看得到,用不到,有个屁用?!" Sharizal Subari is sceptical if Singaporeans will ever see the money: "Haha!be prepared people, for the $9000 we get, we will have to pay even if we enter shopping centres, using of lift, pay for air we breathe,n of cos reviews of mrt, bus, taxis fare..the list can go on. Bottom line is u take money u pay double." Lionel felt that there is nothing worth defending in Singapore with the relentless influx of foreigners: "If the males would not defend Singapore, then who would. But then with the amount of foreigners in Singapore ever increasing, you must ask yourself what are you defending for? and is Singapore still worthwhile defending?" Donnie Tien still felt aggrieved about his NS experience: "I love my country and I have served my country all these years since I was 18 years old. In order not to let my unit down, I was even doing my ICT the day before my wedding! Over the years I was injured many times during service and ended with a slipped disc condition and a perpetually numbed thigh. What happened the last few years make me question my own dedication. Just because the doctors cannot proof it at first, it took me years and numerous MRIs that I pay out of my own pockets before they believe me and downgraded me. When I started a new career a few years ago as a fully commissioned sales person, I was shocked that I am not able to claim fully the time spend during ICT base on my taxable income. They would only agreed to paying me partially although IRAS continue to tax my on my full income. I even wrote to the ST forum and they conveniently ignored it. They use to say "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country". I believe I have done my part. What have the country have to say? For a start, they should just pay us fairly for our time. What's the point of throwing me a cherry when you snatch away the whole cake?" Calvin Chong asks if he can give the government $9,000 to exempt his child from NS instead: "In future, can we pay that S$9000 to the government to exempt our male child from NS then? S$9000 for 2 years? You think we are Bangala soilders?" Kelvin Tay is unmoved by PM Lee's gesture: "Seriously, I won't even take it if its in cold hard cash. Fking use this kinda methods to psycho ppl in their voting decision, simply no integrity and no moral values. And ya, this money gets locked in the cpf, simply speaking, ownership of the money changed, but the ones controling it IS STILL THE SAME. Truly Sinkapore Ptd Ltd. FYI, im not that rich and 9k to me is a freaking substantial amount. Cheers comrades, the day will come.. Change of dynasty/改朝换代" [Source: TR Facebook] All Singapore-born males have to serve 2 years of National Service followed by 13 years of reservist obligations which put them at a disadvantage compared to the foreigners, PRs and new citizens who are exempted from NS. Calls from Singaporeans for the PRs and new citizens to do some sort of NS or community service have gone unheeded with the PAP regime saying that do so will "frighten" them away. With the playing field tipped strongly in favor of the foreigners, Singaporeans will have little choice but to compete with them on an unequal footing so now the PAP regime remains in power.   Related articles: >> PM Lee's $9,000 "carrot" an insult to all NSmen >> PM Lee promises every NSman $9,000    Please join our Facebook page here and invite your friends to do so to create awareness of the current affairs affecting Singaporeans. Appeal to President Nathan to give Voi Kong a 2nd chance

Appeal to President Nathan to give Voi Kong a 2nd chance

To his excellent , the president of the Republic of Singapore First and foremost I wish to express my highest respect to your excellence and the people of singapore for showing an excellent example to the world in eradicating proverty , maintaintaning high growth of economy. The Singapore government is one who love the people and care for the welfare of the people. Under this conducive enviroment the singapore people became smart and work hard and has also shown to the world "nothing is impossible with determination" , with determination Singaporean can always make their home , their country a better place to stay , they can make their dream come true. I remember seeing a picture when I was three , it show a fishing village which was a place in Singapore , but the place had now changed to a well developed area. Today Singapore project herself to the world as as a modern ,wealthy, clean , eff icient and transparent City State., All this happened not by chance but due to the hard effort of the people of Singapore. The security and order in Singapore is of not excellent which make an ideal place to stay , to inveat and to visit. Therefore the police , the security and defence force of the republic should be highly praised for. Eventouhgh we are living in different country but we have many things in common. Firstly I fullly agreed that the Singapore should impose strict law to prevent the smuggling and trafficking of drug into the country. As all of us know the abuse of drug is not only bad to the health but also will have a detrimental effects on our society.Needless to say those involved in drug smuggling and trafficking need to be purnished appropriately. Secondly what we have in common is LOVE and compassion towards our parent , our child , our friends. Every mother love their child very much because a child has been with her since gestation began. The same thing applies to the mother of Yong Voi Kong. This mother has not slept well , ate well ever since hearing the bad news of her son. The same applies to the relative and friends of Yong Voi Kong and also more than 100,000 of people who has signed to petition to save Yong Voi Kong. All of us hopes that he would be given chance to be reeducated. Another thing we have in common is the willingness for us to forgive people who are innocent and ignorant ,to help the less fortunate, I remember this very well ever since I was a child, because my parent and my teachers has time and again mentined that to me. Many are hoping that Yong Voi Kong should be given chance to continue his life through reeducation, there are many examples of criminal has been turned to a better and sucessful person and we strongly Yong will make if he is given the chance. Once again I wish to express my highest respect to your excellent and the people of Singapore for showing to the world that Singapore is a nation full of love and compassion. May Health , fortune and Happiness be with you and your people。 Thank you and warmest regard   GO H HOE HOE   Editor's note: The President of Singapore has no powers to grant clemency, only the cabinet ministers has. This letter is more appropriately addressed to the cabinet instead.  Read More →

The term “Foreign Talent” itself is rubbish!

The term “Foreign Talent” itself is rubbish!

The PAP government is unable to define what a real ‘foreign talent’ is. The term itself is rubbish. The top-tier ‘talent’ of any country, its crème de la crème will never leave their homeland for a place like Singapore. Those who leave for Singapore, be they long-term talents or transiting ones, hoping to use Singapore as a launch-pad to better countries, are merely using Singapore. What Singapore attracts, unfortunately, is ’sour curd’. An Indian university-graduated I.T engineer, versus a NUS/NTU-graduated engineer, what is the difference in their productivity, competencies, and their abilities to get the job done? Clearly, a NUS/NTU graduate cannot be any less competent than his/her Indian counterpart. If PAP asserts that an Indian univ-grad is better than a local one, then, perhaps something has gone very wrong with Singapore Ministry of Education’s tertiary education policies and the rigors of the programmes offered at NUS/NTU. So, for whatever excuses the PAP use to justify the influx of ‘foreign talents’, it is all lame. Do not forget, 40 years of social engineering, of curtailing and controlling of the local graduate population, has resulted in the current shortage of local talents. Many who cannot afford an overseas university education have been forced to give up their dreams, take on lesser jobs, just to provide for their families – only to realize that in their lifetimes, that they will lose their jobs in short economic cycles, have their salaries reduced because of cheap foreign labour, and face the next cycle of uncertainties for their own children. Yes, this is the legacy of 40 years social engineering – of producing a worker-class that cannot revolt against the ruling-class. The foolish social engineering process created by the PAP has resulted in a population base that cannot compete with the best of knowledge-based economies elsewhere. Only to justify their even worse solutions to this problem, by bringing in the zoo-class of clowns and pretenders, skivers at work who do little, but talk and play petty office politics. This is the type of ‘talent’ Singapore imports, and this is the short-term solution to a long-term problem. It is no wonder that the best solution to the Orchard Rd floods, are sandbags placed along the pavement – the real metaphor of the guys we pay millions to solve our problems, when the bunch of jokers are the one who created the problem in the first place. And then of course, the greastest disservice any local company and its HR departments is guilty of, is the hiring process in which deference is given to the foreign talent, either because they are cheaper, or because they talk and market themselves so well, but often fail to deliver. Take Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan as our nearest comparison models, none of their homegrown corporations will hire or give deferential treatment to a foreigner, to the detriment of their local compatriots. How companies like Matsushita-Panasonic, Toyota, Honda, Samsung, Hyundai, LG, Acer, etc., grow beyond their own domestic market, is really about national pride, national identity, of creating a national brand that each citizen-worker can be proud of. Any Korean worker can take the streets and go on strike, but it does not dilute their national pride and patriotism. Each engineer on the production line will still insist on exceeding the company’s quality control standards, just so that each product that rolls out of their plant, does not only represent their brand, it represents their country. Where is this national pride? How can a wife remain faithful and proud of her husband, if all he does, is to bring home an international variety of prostitutes each night to their marital bed? And his justification to his wife – you are not talented and skilled enough, I need variety, I need to procreate, the cheaper the whore, the better, as long as I get the job done. I want a multitudes of descendants, never mind their quality. Between Singaporeans and their Government, a social and moral contract has been breached. And we have been betrayed. There is no point expecting the same government to provide us with better solutions. We have seen and heard them all. The only way forward, if we do not pack and leave, is for us to take control. We will need to create our own homegrown companies that hire Singaporeans with decent wages. We need to create the real Singapore for Singaporeans. It takes time, but it surely beats allowing the foreign talents to take over our marital beds and land. We are doing this for our children and their future. NS-men, your girlfriends, your wives, your children and all real-blooded Singaporeans, the war has started, and it starts on a psychological level. We fight the fine fight, we will take back our land, our jobs, and our homes. Never mind what rubbish the PAP generates, it is all noise. Move on, fight to eliminate the trash we do not need. Create our own national brands and corporations, create our own billion-dollar corporations sans Temasek Holdings/GIC. Do not betray your own kind, the way the PAP has. We are the real soldiers, we are the real matyrs.   Patriot   Please join our Facebook page here and invite your friends to do so to create awareness of the current affairs affecting Singaporeans.
