GST increase in 2024GST increase in 2024 On 1 Jan 2024 GST rises 1% from 8% to 9%; this is a 12.5% increase in GST. I am not convinced that this is necessary. Revisiting the deadly Covid-19 mRNA vaccines

Revisiting the deadly Covid-19 mRNA vaccines

Now I know why POFMA Office didn't want to charge me in court but just give me a "Conditional Warning"! It took POFMA Office 10 month to issue Truth Warriors their "Conditional Warning" but it took them more than one and a half year to issue me their "Conditional Warning". I believe they must have been struggling how to formulate a Full Proof sure win case against me but as time goes by, when more and more data analysis and studies are supporting my basic stance that we must be more careful about the mRna Covid vaccination right from the start because there is no long term safety data and it's apparent that it doesn't stop infection, they find it even more difficult to nail me dead. Basically, even up till now, we still do not have a conclusive understanding or consensus in the medical scientific field with regards to the safety aspect of these mRna vaccines. As early as Dec 2021, there were already quite numerous preliminary studies and report that cautioned about the potential impact of these mRna Covid vaccination. I have shown the report from Circulation, a medical journal specialized in publication on research focused on Cardiac issues that the mRna Covid vaccination may result in a high spike in heart issues for the next 5 years. Just recently, a research carried out by Switzerland Medical School which traced 777 employees who took Moderna boosters has concluded that 40 subjects of the 777 (5.1%) have a spike in a marker protein that indicates an damage on the heart muscles. They may not feel anything but the damage might be done subtly. 22 of them (2.8%) suffered myocarditis or pericarditis! 20 of them are female. This contrast with the common belief that myocarditis after mRna vaccination are mostly found in male. This is actually unacceptable for any medicinal safety standards. This research finding has actually rocked the world. I am actually surprised that Zaobao chose to report on this "Bad" news. Well maybe they have watched my GMS Late Night Live Chat recently whereby I have briefly mentioned this research finding. This is only one of the numerous research findings which have been done and published on the safety aspects of the mRna Covid vaccination for the past couple of years, but this is the most astonishing one as it did a proper tracking on those who took the boosters, not just retrospective study on historical data which are often brushed aside as "mere correlation". This research finding may actually become one of the basis to explain the huge Excess Deaths and Sudden Deaths we are witnessing in highly vax countries like UK, US, Singapore etc. You can't accuse people of spreading "Falsehood" when you don't really know the "Truth" in the first place. Truth can definitely withstand the Real Test of Time. 真金不怕火煉 I reiterate, when it comes to the matter of Public Interests in terms of health matters, life and death matters, no amount of POFMA threats will stop me from speaking up.   Goh Meng Seng      Read More →

Defiant TOC starts new website to circumvent DOL

Defiant TOC starts new website to circumvent DOL

Calling itself the "Undying Phoenix", the Online Citizen (TOC) has defiantly announced that it has started operating a new website to circumvent the restrictions that the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI), under the charge of Minister Josephine Teo,  has placed on its original website and social media accounts, namely Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages. TOC was named a Declared Online Locations (DOL) under the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Act 2019 (POFMA) on 22nd July, after a series of false statements were propagated by TOC, according to MCI's statement. Under the DOL, severe restrictions are placed on TOC, one of which pertains to monetization, that is now expressly forbidden and an offence. Under Part 5 of POFMA: 1. It will be considered an offence for TOC to gain financial or other material benefits from operating these online locations. This measure is designed to prevent operators from profiting from the dissemination of falsehoods. 2. Individuals, whether within or outside Singapore, found guilty of receiving or soliciting financial or material benefits for operating a DOL, could face penalties. These include fines up to S$40,000, imprisonment for up to three years, or both. Other entities could face fines of up to S$500,000. 3. Service providers and digital advertising intermediaries are instructed to ensure that paid content is not communicated in Singapore via these declared platforms. Individuals and companies are also warned against providing financial support to these platforms if they suspect such support would aid the spread of falsehoods in Singapore. Violations of these provisions could lead to a fine of up to S$20,000, imprisonment for up to 12 months, or both for individuals. Other entities could face a maximum fine of S$500,000. Similarly, penalties for providing financial support with the knowledge that it could promote false statements of fact on a DOL could result in a fine of up to $40,000, imprisonment for up to three years, or both for individuals and fines up to $500,000 for other entities. In an apparent move to circumvent the restrictions that compelled TOC to "self-sustain, relying solely on its resources without any public backing", TOC announced that it has started to operate a new website, suggesting technically that the restrictions that MCI has placed on the original website does not apply to the new website. Naturally, it can continue to monetize and receive donations through the new website, and may [presumably] use the funds to support the original TOC, which will remain steadfast with "commitment to truth and transparency" and "holding power to account", without officially monetizing. Our existing staff will transition to a new publication, Gutzy Asia, focusing on news from Greater Asia, while TOC will refocus on its primary subject, Singapore, hence dropping the Asia subtext. ... We are resolute in our decision to continue TOC’s operations, standing in defiance against attempts to silence dissent through lawsuits and intimidating regulations. We are here to serve the people, and we will continue our mission with determination and resilience. Source: TOC main website. Legally-trained readers TRE spoke to have opined that it is not illegal for TOC to do so since the DOL was targeted at TOC's original website, hence not applicable to the latest website. Basically Terry is playing hide and seek with MCI here, because the DOL is aimed at a website, not an individual. Terry could be the editor-in-chief of tens of website, and if one gets DOL, then just repeat the same trick and another is born. The 2-year DOL on TOC is therefore immaterial and inconsequential. Registering a domain takes only minutes and in less than a day, a new website is born. A simple announcement on its existing website is all its takes to direct its die-hard supporters to the new website  to make donations and contributions, and the charade can go on and on and on, especially for a website that is very well-funded. Unless the POFMA is enhanced or amended to address that, Terry could literally run circles around MCI, showing his middle finger at every turn, opined one reader. And since the new website is dedicated to only news from around Asia and avoiding Singapore, MCI can find no justification nor jurisdiction to issue any POFMA or DOL, another reader added.   * Editor's note: Contrary to what TOC claims, the new website do carry news on Singapore, for example this, this, this, this and this piece. Wouldn't it be easier to just simply port the entire TOC website over to the new website?    Read More →

A comedy of chicanery

A comedy of chicanery

Tharman Shanmugaratnam has relinguished his PAP membership and minsterial position to contest the presidential election as an independent candidate. This has taken Singapore by storm and boggles the mind how a deeply tainted establishment figure can portray himself as an independent. The die is cast and he is seen to be animinatedly perambulating thrusting himself into all and sundry, the uncles and aunties, to twinkle his charms to beguile them to cast their votes for him as a independent candidate. What takes the cake are MediaCorps and Straits Times who give such humiliating grandiose propaganda accompaniment that gives an obscene impression that they are treating him still as an establishment figure with lofty rank. Is this at the enjoinment of PM Lee Hsien Loong as Tharman is his pet choice as president? It's true that publicity service is extended to the other two candidates George Goh Ching Wah and Ng Kok Song but it is done in a perfunctory manner and pale in comparison with the VIP amenities accorded to Tharman. Do the public thank that this justicc and fair to the two rival prospective candidates? I do not think they want to see this gross dispairity going further. If MediaCorps and Straits Times do not see this as a hint to desist or at lease to curb its obscene magnitude, I think it is possible that public patience may snap and Lee Hsien Loong will be landed with a sudden mammoth political rukcus. No doubt MediaCorps offered its obeisant service to arrange the paraphernalia and audience to give it a captivating effect. With due respect to Tharman's professed oratorical skills and so-called magnetic personality, I think I find his speeches to be quite drab and is amazing that they did not cause any somnalence to the audience. It sounds incomprehensible that he is accalimed for his oratorical persuasiveness. With humility I think I can do no worse that him in my humble oratorical talent. No disrespect to Tharman. Tharman has to arrange an array of prominent assenters to prop up his precarious artificial independent image. How the Jamiyah CEO can be muscled in by him is auite a scream. Is he absolutely sure that the Malay rakyat understand his action. There is a Malay saying: usah memterdaykan akal rakyat (Do not cheat or trick the intelligence of the rakyat (people). Is the Jamiyah CEO trying to bumsucks Lee Hsien Loong. Ho Kwong Ping has a pristine public persona and he cannot be so benevolent to give a self-sacrificial spin to his antic. Is he having some kind of opague gratitude to the befuddled Lee Hsien Loong. To top it all, Tharman cannot, with all his effort, to masquerade as an independent candidate with the decades-old establishment stain. He may try and he has a strong vainglorious persona and will not accept defeat. If in spite of all the unfavourable forecast of questionable asssertion of independence he is elected as president I think the people will be charitable enough to accept it. So good luck to Tharman and may God bless you.   Yoong Siew Wah * The author was the Director of Singapore’s Internal Security Department (ISD) from 1971 to 1974. He was Director of the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) in the 1960s, and had a distinguished career in the Singapore Special Branch in the 1950s. Mr Yoong has granted TR Emeritus exclusive right to his memoir, to be published on an independent website (work in progress), upon his passing.     Read More →
