Dr Paul Offit, FDA's Vaccine Adviser Dr. Paul Offit, one of the Food and Drug Administration‘s (FDA) vaccine advisers (voting member), admitted on video that the new Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) bivalent boosters have no benefits whatsoever. Vaccine safety advocate Steve Kirsch posted a video of Offit’s remarks about the boosters during the expert’s interview with CNBC. Offit, a member of the FDA’s Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee (VRBPAC), voted against the approval of the bivalent COVID-19 vaccine dose. “Do the benefits of this vaccine outweigh the risks? I didn’t see the benefits [and] I feel very strongly about my ‘no’ vote there. In fact, the only reason I voted no was because ‘hell no’ was not a choice,” he said. “It just surprised me that we were willing to go forward with this, with such scant evidence of benefit. I think the phrase that I used was ‘uncomfortably scant.’ You just sort of felt like the fix was in a little bit here. I felt like we were being led here with a critical lack of information.” According to Offit, the FDA based its approval of the bivalent COVID-19 boosters on data from clinical trials done on eight mice. “I don’t think you should ever ask tens of billions of people to get a vaccine based on mouse data,” he said. “The reason to consult [the VRBPAC] is because when [the FDA does] that … that’s open to the public. So we’ll get then all the data from the two companies, which then is available to the public. By not doing that, by simply saying ‘We don’t need that advice'” what they’re also saying is ‘We’re not [going to] be transparent about what we have to the American public.’ And I just think that’s not fair.” Offit ultimately concluded: “If you clearly have evidence of benefit, great. But if you don’t clearly have any evidence of benefit, then say no.” Kirsch explains why Offit voted no on the bivalent booster In a piece published on his Substack, Kirsch outlined three reasons why Offit voted no on the bivalent COVID-19 booster. “You will not find a bigger proponent of vaccine in general, and the COVID-19 vaccines specifically, in American medicine than Offit,” the vaccine safety advocate wrote. “He voted ‘yes’ to give the COVID vaccines to all children, even babies as young as six months.” Kirsch then put down Offit’s three reasons for voting against the booster. First, he pointed out a lack of a trial to “show that there are any clinical benefits at all.” Kirsch added: “Any clinical benefits must be weighed against the risks.” Second, he cited Offit’s remarks during an interview with MedPage Today that the initial vaccine doses provide sufficient protection against severe COVID-19 – meaning there is no additional benefit for a booster. “The question is: Does it matter? Because still, it looks like you’re protected against severe illness – so does it really matter to get that third dose? I would argue ‘no’,” Offit expounded. Third, Kirsch pointed out that the FDA “does not really want the outside committee members to actually review the scientific data. They just want them to vote yes, so it looks like outside experts reviewed the data.” This third reason, incidentally, aligned with Offit’s comments regarding how “the fix was in” and that he and other experts “were being led … with a critical lack of information.” “The FDA provides hundreds of pages of material just days before the meeting, giving members an inadequate amount of time to review the data before voting on it,” Kirsch remarked. “It’s just another example of sham science. The [VRBPAC] panel is simply there to rubber stamp what the White House and FDA want to do. My friend explained China's covid zero policy along the following lines: - China does not lockdown the entire country when there are covid cases. - They divide each city into districts and only lock down the districts with covid cases. When no more new cases are found, the lockdown is lifted for that district. - Due to the low vaccination rate, they do not want to take the risk of a widespread infection that may cause severe illness on the people without immunity. - Even if a district is lockdown, the authority allow workers to continue their work under a closed loop system. The workers have to stay in the workplace and keep contact with only its own circle of contacts. They are not allowed to go home and get into contact with other people along the way. Using this lockdown by district and closed loop system, China was able to minimize the disruption to its economy. My friend said that he heard this explanation from the top disease expert in China. Late Anuerin Bevan Today, Britons regard their National Health Service( NHS ) as the Crown Jewel in their society and civilisation. No political party dares to upend it. The NHS provides medical care free at point-of-need across Britain, regardless of wealth. The NHS was the brainchild of a colourful Welsh politician by the name of Anuerin Bevan. Bevan left school at 14 and worked as a coal miner. He was unemployed for a number of years as a young man in his 20s. He saw and experienced first hand the poverty and deprivation in the Welsh valleys where coal was the main activity. At the age of 47,he was made the Minister of Health and Social Care in the Labour Government Of Clement Attlee, which came to power immediately after the 2nd WW. The Attlee government lasted only 6 years from 1945-51, but it was the most transformative government in British history and laid the foundations of the modern British state. Bevan certainly falls within Goh Chok Tong’s definition of a “mediocre” who cannot even earn $500K a year. But look at his immense contribution to his fellow citizens and his country. When he died in 1960, there was an outpouring of national grief. In the list of 100 Welsh heroes, he is ranked number 1. The man on the right is 50 this year and has been in government since 2011. He is a millionaire in a cabinet of millionaires. A few years ago, he told Singaporeans that their HDB would become worthless when the 99 year leasehold expired. Earlier this year, he also announced that GST would increase by 28.4% in real terms over 2023/24. Under his watch as Finance Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Presumptive Prime Minister, the cost of living has gone through the roof and the majority of Singaporeans now think property is unaffordable. The moral of the story is that we don’t need scholars or millionaires to run a government. What we need are people such as Bevan, who understand the struggles of Ordinary Singaporeans, and are determined to make their lives and those of their Next Generation better, and who don’t give a damn to what those foreign millionaires or billionaires, who treat Singapore as their playground, think.
